The firm began practicing in Germiston as McKechnie Osbourne & Co.
FJ Eksteen (Fred) joined the firm as an article clerk.
The firm amalgamated with Taylor and Hoar (Johannesburg), and Fred became a partner, managing the Germiston operations.
Fred and FJT Klinkert (Frank), a colleague from Taylor and Hoar, formed Eksteen Klinkert & Co after breaking away from Taylor and Hoar.
Arno qualified and became a partner in Eksteen Klinkert & Co.
Frank Klinkert left the firm to pursue a career in commerce, and Fred and Arno continued operating as Eksteen and Louw until the end of 1988.
PA Badenhorst merged with Eksteen and Louw to form Eksteen Louw & Badenhorst. Fred left the practice but remained as a consultant to the firm.

Phillip Peter Marinopoulos was admitted as a director and Tax Specialist.
Marko Pretorius was admitted as a director and shareholder in the attest company in January 2020.
